To Jack
A very special man who was not only a father-in-law but also a friend. He was always generous and caring, being there for us when we needed him. I shall always be grateful for the advice given when asked for.
Although we had differences in opinion concerning music, for the most part we loved our classical music. However, I could never quite persuade him to take on board the likes of Britten, Harrison Birtwistle or even Lutoslawski.
I shall miss his company very much.
